Coulee Region Mobility understands the unique safety concerns
bathrooms pose and we are here to help you choose the right accessible
        products you need.

Age In Place with Accessible Bathroom Solutions

Many falls for older adults happen in the bathroom where slippery surfaces like the tub, shower floor and slick tile walls create a hazardous environment that can lead to accidents. Making accessible bathroom modifications is a smart choice as it can help you remain independent, prevent injury, and accidents.

At Coulee Region Mobility, while we are experienced bathroom installer, we prefer to specialize in only accessible bathroom remodels. This specialization allows us to keep our overhead low and to pass on the cost savings to you while still ensuring that you choose the right accessible products you need to ensure your bathroom is a safe and comfortable place. We only use quality products and can match your current decor with styles from Kohler, Moen and BCI Acrylic.

Coulee Region Mobility offers three
different types of walk-in shower pan solutions.

Walk-In Showers

Bathrooms tend to be a focal point for aging in place modifications due to their slick floors and counters and a high potential for slippery surfaces. Plus, bathrooms are essential to completing one’s daily tasks, making it a high-priority for many seniors making their home more aging-friendly.

One popular modification is converting one’s standard bathtub or shower to a walk-in. Coulee Region Mobility offers three different types of walk-in shower pan solutions and we are happy to meet with you to discuss what options are best for you.

Traditional Threshold Shower Pans offer a low 3" curb which makes it simple to step over. These pans can be made of many materials from solid surface, cultured granite, expanded polystyrene, acrylic, and fiberglass.

Roll-In Shower Pans are ADA compliant and has a slope at its entrance. This slope can either be part of the shower pan – or separate from the pan. This raised area makes it possible to roll a wheelchair in.

Recessed Shower Pans have no curb to step over. It’s a flat floor between the bathroom and the shower ‘wet space.’ And while it doesn’t have a curb, it’s still pitched to a shower drain which is the lowest point in the room.

Step-Through Bath Solutions

Climbing in and out of a slippery tub can be dangerous, but a walk-in tub can be the answer for those with mobility concerns.

Here at Coulee Region Mobility, we understant that tearing out your entire tub to create a walk-in shower can be an expensive venture. For that very reason, we offer some great cost-effective solutions. With our options you can be on your way to stepping into your tub to take a shower without having to climb over the high walls of the bathtub.

Another advantage with our step-through bath solutions is that you need not worry about your bathroom being tied up for days. Our installation experts can complete your conversion to a new, easier to use, safer tub-to-shower conversions in just a few hours, usually no more than half a day. Contact us and we will come over to discuss our very affordable and convenient options.

Step through tubs offer safety and security without having to
climb over the high walls of the bathtub.

A bath lift helps to keep your floor space clear and
uncluttered, making it a safe and fast home lift alternative.

Pro-Bath Lifts

A pro-bath lift help individuals with mobility issues safely get in and out of a bathtub. These devices work by lowering a seat into the bathtub, allowing users to sit comfortably while bathing. Bath lifts are an essential tool for people with difficulty standing or sitting for extended periods, such as seniors, individuals with disabilities, and people recovering from surgery or injuries.

Bath lifts are battery-operated and come with a simple-to-use hand control, which makes them easy to use. They are also safe and provide a sense of independence and dignity to those with limited mobility.

Grab Bars

Grab Bars, also referred to as bathroom safety rails, can help individuals who have balance or strength challenges safely lift themselves up and down. They can also help them mobilize around the bathroom with increased safety and independence.

Grab bars placed in strategic locations, such as on shower or bath walls, can prevent slipping and falling. When installed beside the toilet, they can assist with sitting and standing, and when placed next to the sink or vanity, a grab bar can provide additional stability.

Bathroom grab bars come in a variety of styles, finishes and sizes. However, it is very important to note that proper installation is crucial for mounted grab bar safety. Coulee Region Mobility has over 10 years of experience properly installing grab bars and we know how to correctly install grab bars even when they aren’t based on standard stud locations.
